How we handle your data.

We collect the minimum we need to email you your quiz result and keep you in the loop about FunnelsGenius. We don't sell your data, we don't run ad trackers, and you can ask us to delete everything we hold about you at any time.

The "data controller" — the person legally responsible for your data — is:

FunnelsGenius is operated as a Portuguese sole-trader activity. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights (below), email us at the address above.

When you join the waitlist or take the quiz we collect, directly from you:

• Email address — so we can send you your quiz result and waitlist updates.
• First name— so our emails don't feel like they're from a bot.
• Your quiz answers — including the role type you picked, your multiple-choice answers, and the product interests you selected. We use these to compute a persona score and tailor what we send you.
• Marketing attribution (UTMs) — if you arrived via a tracked link, we store which campaign sent you. This helps us understand which channels work.

We also collect, automatically:

• Your IP address — held only in-memory for ~10 minutes to prevent abuse (rate limiting). It is not written to our database.

We do not collect:

• Payment information (we don't sell anything yet).
• Tracking-cookie data, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics profiles.
• Any special categories of personal data (health, political views, etc.).

Under the GDPR we need a lawful basis for every piece of data we hold. Ours are:

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for sending you marketing emails. You tick the consent box on the form; you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us.
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for rate-limiting IPs to keep the service secure and for storing UTM attribution to understand which marketing channels work. You can object by contacting us.

We don't sell or rent your data. We do use a small number of third-party services to run FunnelsGenius. Each one is a "data processor" acting on our instructions:

• Supabase (database) — hosts our leads table. Our data is stored in the EU (Ireland) region.
• Bento (email automation) — sends your quiz result email and waitlist updates. Based in the United States; international transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
• Upstash (rate-limiting) — ephemeral IP-based anti-abuse. Our instance is in the EU (Ireland).
• Cloudflare (hosting, DNS) — serves this website. Cloudflare may see your IP for network-layer purposes; we do not receive or retain that information.

If we add new processors (analytics, video hosting, payments), we'll update this list before the new service is used.

Bento is based in the United States. When we send your data to Bento, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. All other processors are in the EU.

• Waitlist / quiz data— kept for as long as you're on our list. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove it within 30 days.
• IP addresses — held in memory for up to 10 minutes. Never written to our database.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification— ask us to fix anything that's wrong.
• Erasure — ask us to delete everything.
• Restriction — ask us to pause processing while we look into something.
• Portability — get your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Withdraw consent — any time, with no impact on processing we did before you withdrew it.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Portuguese data-protection authority: Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

We don't use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We do use browser localStorage to remember two things:

• fg_quiz_state_v1— so your answers aren't lost if you refresh the quiz. Cleared automatically when you reach the result page.
• fg_utms_v1 — remembers which campaign you arrived from, so we can attribute the signup correctly even if you come back later.

These are strictly necessary for the quiz to work and do not require a separate cookie banner. You can clear them any time from your browser's site-data settings.

If we make substantive changes — new processors, new data collection, change of ownership — we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, if the change materially affects your rights, email you directly before it takes effect.
